Mahim Causeway is one of the most congested roads in Mumbai. It is the only link that connects the western suburbs directly to the Island city. The volume of vehicular traffic travelling south picks up dramatically around 8 am and continues to be high till 11 am. Mahim Causeway southbound receives traffic from the Western Express Highway and Swami Vivekananda Road, both major arteries of the Western Suburbs.
